Modcloth

I just brought this lovely dress from www.modcloth.com

I think I will wear it with colored tights and my vintage gold locket. Now I just have to wait for it to come in the mail!
Here are my other modcloth finds.

He died with a felafel in his hand

Friday night I went with my good friend Ryan to see a theatre production of John Birmingham's "He Died with a Felafel in His Hand" at Brisbane Arts Theatre . It was very funny, though not for the easily offended.

I wore a chain store shirt, stockings and beret (Forever New), a vintage skirt and my Vivienne Westwood/Melissa shoes.

Yesterday I went to the cinema and saw "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas". It was a very sad film, I admittedly sobbed on Tom's shoulder for the last five minutes of it. But I guess it would not be an accurate portrayal of the Holocaust if it was not tragic.

It's the beating of his hideous heart!

This is my first post in a few days. I have felt sort of uninspired to write anything recently.
Today was my first day back at school, it went rather slow. I fell asleep in English. Then this afternoon I read "The Tell-Tale Heart" By Edgar Allan Poe. I rather like his stories and poems, and they are short. I often lack the attention span to read long novels. I also cuddled with my cat, Kimya.

I had quite a nice weekend. Saturday I went to a book fair, I got 8 books and paid about $9.50 in total. That night I went to Valley Transmission, which is a free event that happens once a month in Fortitude Valley. I went with my friend Renae, it was a lot of fun.

Third time lucky.

Its 11.32pm and I am browsing Etsy while watching a doco on SBS about people in Argentina. This is my third post today, I just have so much to write about.

I found this adorable necklace on Michelle's Charm World's Etsy store.

Docs

The town I live in is called Beerwah, it's a small town about an hour north of Brisbane. Beerwah is mainly known for the zoo a few kilometers away. It has a woolworths, a pub and two op shops and that is pretty much all. Today I found a pair of Dr Martens in one of the op shops for $15. Score.

Last night

I made a skirt from an old dress. I feel pretty crafty right now.
I decided that with the current economic crisis I should start doing it 1930's style and 'mend and make do'. Next I will be replacing stockings with gravy mix and a niko.
